Bummer

So of course I couldn't find a battery in this hick town so I had to order one on the Internet, hope it will be here soon. I really wanted to take a great picture for my last day.

Hey, I have a question about that, for everyone doing the challenge. It's called the 30 Day challenge, but there are 31 days this month, should we or shouldn't we do the 31st day? Your choice. Let me know what everyone thinks.

I guess I could take a picture with my phone, yuk! Dilemma Dilemma....
I hope this battery doesn't fix my problem, and I have to get a new one.

Dilemma

I have a real problem. I went to take my photo for the 30 day challenge yesterday and my camera started freaking out. I'm going to get a new battery today, hoping that will fix it. I managed to get something half way descent to print. I may have to resort to using my daughters new Barbie camera. LOL Keep your fingers crossed for me. I have gotten attached to my camera now and keep it with me all day, every day.

The challenge is almost over, I have almost all my photos scrapped, but not journaled. I should have digi scrapped, but then I would have never printed them. I am a mess.

I have started getting ready for my all day crop January 5-7 in VA. Beach. That caused me to have another problem. I put on my new Shuffle on yesterday and prepared myself to print all my pictures needed for the crop, about 100. My computer started acting stupid. I can't win. So i need to get all my pictures printed for the crop in about 8 days. AAAHHHH!!!

My sister will be here on the 3rd. I can't hardly wait. I need a little time away.

Glad to hear everyone had a Great Christmas..Time to start making those New Years Resolutions. Like I make any myself HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

PS: My cleaning lady never came, she got sick, so I am forced to clean my own house. I dusted a little yesterday and as soon as I take up my chirstmas stuff I will vacuum. I hate vacuuming.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Just wanted to take time out of a long day, to Wish Everyone a Very Merry Christmas. I hope Santa was good to everyone. I know he always is to me, by just having my Family together at Christmas.

Santa

Thought I would share this picture my sister and I had taken at the craft show we did a couple of weeks ago. We are giving it to our mom. It didn't turn out as good as i thought it would.

Santa looks kinds discombobulated, poor thing he had 200 kids sit on his lap, so we thought we would give him a break and stand. His hat kept falling, his belt was all askew and the top of his collar wouldn't button and his t-shirt was showing. Bless his heart. Looks like he has been sipping some egg nog LOL

Happy Holidays!!!....3 More Days

This is the lovely Paccio family from the Philippines. They are the family I was telling you about that our church helped out this Christmas. Rita was so sweet and offered me to come and meet her family. She is only 30 years old, her husband only 32 and they left the Philippines to make a better life for there family. She explained how dangerous it is where they were living, our local hospital recruited her, she is a nurse. They left the Philippines with only what they could carry on an air plane. The children were adorable 10, 8, 6 and 16 months. WOW that's a lot of responsibility. She says God has brought them here for a reason.

She thanked me from the bottom of her heart and Thanked me for all the blessings.
I thanked the lord last night for sharing this wonderful family with me.

Love this Bag

The Jordyn Bag
Our newest bag! The Jordyn Bag was made in response to customer requests: compact size, an exterior pocket, a zippered closure. The simple urban design features a strap long enough to wear across your body, and the bag is just the right size to hold all the essentials, even a bottle of water.

My friend Rachel sells these bags, I'm telling you right now, they are the cutest. You get to pick your fabric, I like the black, but I have my eye on something more outrageous. I am definitely getting one of these after Christmas. I get fussed at for buying things for myself before Christmas. They even have lap top covers.

Very Productive Day

Yesterday was very productive for me. Mark and I left home at 9 am and returned at 7pm. I got all my shopping done and it all wrapped, when I got home. The traffic wasn't too bad. I think we went to every store, but we accomplished our missions. Trying to explain to someone that you want an MP3 player, but don't want to spend alot, well we found one at Walmart of course, but all they had left was the display. So we went to Sam's club. I joined up yesterday, I had always wanted a membership. No luck with the MP3. We finally found a very nice young man in Sears to help us. I had to buy for a large family that just came to our area from the Philippines and could only bring what they could carry on the airplane. 4 kids 10,8,6& 6 months. we split up the list, so I had 2 children to buy for. I think my kids really enjoy helping me with this project every year. I hope that it helps them appreciate what they have.
A couple more days at work, then I get 4 days off. Mom is coming over for a last minute project tonight and I really have never done much baking (sad I know) this time of year. I would really like to change that. I did buy Rugula at sams yesterday apple and raspberry YUM!!
almost bought a cookie kit, just add decorations. LOL Can you tell I'm not much of a sweets eater. I love to cook just not desserts, I am really bad at it.
Anyway hope everyone is on there way to a Restful weekend. Shell is up to her ears in projects, Izzy seems settled in a ready for her parents visit. Jan is always busy, no matter what! LOL
Jolene is spending time with family, that seems to be growing daily-Congrats.
My new friend Missy has lots going on, havent's caught up one her blog yet.

Poem

Every Day All Year
Presents wrapped in tinsel
And lots of tasty treats
Children’s thoughts of Santa Claus
A Christmas Goose to eat
It seems we are much nicer then
To all who come our way
With simple thoughts of gratitude
For friends who come to stay
Through the season holidays
It’s wise to stop and think
Keep in mind your Savior’s birth
As well as Santa’s wink
Then as the parties settle down
And life goes on it’s way
Remember to stay nice to all
And be a sunshine ray
Every child of God has worth
Please think of that my friend
Make each day a Christmas Day
Love all, your greetings send
Love your neighbor, give your best
Keep your temper cool
Each day be in compliance
With the Golden Rule
Not just in the holidays
But every day each year
Then like Christmas, we’ll remember
To love our friends so dear -Dave Smoot

The Latest from Top-Line Creations

2007 Papercraft Launch
They've done it again! TLC's design team has crafted another spectacular papercraft line: Runway!Ignore the fads, make a fashion statement with your next scrapbook. Runway is dressed to kill with exclusive ensembles, reversibles, outerwear, and bling that will leave you screaming for more
Thought I would share the latest news from TLC.
The Ette's never disappoint us with the designs and styles they come up with. They are always up on the new trends. We were one of the first companies to offer calendars digital and paper craft.
I love this new girly girl. Especially the Bling!
Things have been kinda of slow in the scrapbooking world lately, haven't done a whole lot of selling or recruiting. Trying to plan a All Day crop for January, can't decide on a date. I really need to decide on the dates for the whole year, so then everyone knows ahead of time. I need to get my own scrap on January 4th is coming up fast.
I did teach my niece (9yrs old) to scrap this weekend, we had a blast, she did a fantastic job and was easier to teach than some adults I have had LOL. She completed 10 pages and I got my scrap rack loaded. I will post a pictures soon. The verdict is still out about this thing, not sure if I like it. I haven't scrapped with it yet, so I am not sure.
Anyway, had a very busy weekend, hoping for a less hectic week. Mark and I are going shopping tomorrow so they can delivery his SURPRISE to the neighbors house. Still have shopping to do for the Family we are helping. Also having my house cleaned by someone other than myself on Thursday, kinda feels funny letting someone else see my dirt. I have never had this done and my wonderful husband says if she does a good job, she can come once a week. Yeah!

HOLIDAYS

11 More Days till the Fat Man Comes!! Are you Ready?
Usually this time of year I have a lot more to do, which makes me kind of nervous
because I have all my shopping done, most everything wrapped and ready to go.
I am sooooo excited about my sons gift, he is just going to pee his pants when he sees what we got him. I will definitely be posting a picture of that.
I was telling my son the other day how fortunate we are. I don't remember getting anything high tech or wonderful for Christmas that I can remember and then I realized that usually memories stem from seeing pictures, and I have no pictures of Christmas since I was about 12, I have a picture of my sister and I with our toes socks on. That kind of tells you how long ago it was. LOL
My point is that pictures tell stories, so remember to take them and cherish them, but most of all scrap them.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL MY BLOGGER FRIENDS
I never thought I would like blogging, I am at post 72. keeping up with every ones life and sharing my own has been very therapeutic for me, Thanks for being my cheap therapist, Ya'll are the Best

Old Friends

This is the story of two old friends, who met over 25 years ago.
When I first moved to VA. from Calif. over 25 yrs ago it was 3 days before my 16th birthday. I was sophomore in high school and scared to death.
My first day of school the Principal was walking me around, showing me the school and where everything was, when this girl walked by, the principal asked if she would show the new girl around. Well the rest is history, we were best friends from that day on. Even though Joan was a year older than me, we still did everything together. She rode horses and I was amazed at all the ribbons and trophies she had won, since I had not been around horses much, I was fascinated.
She was smart and popular and everyone knew her. I was known as that CA. Girl.
I think they all thought I should be carrying around a surf board. LOL
Her dad took she and I to my first concert (don't ask me to remember who it was)
I was Joan's date to her senior prom, don't ask me why she didn't have a date. Just for those of you wondering I had a date for my senior prom.
We got into so much trouble together, the tales I could tell. After high school, she went off to college and soon got married and we didn't see each other for quite some time, but when we do it's as if we had never been apart.
Anyway, I was at my daughters Christmas program at school last night and there she was, I had not seen her since we planned a 20 year class reunion. She looked terrific, but as usually she had a bunch of turmoil and trouble going on in her life.
Just thought I would share a little memory this morning, thanks for letting me ramble

I've been RAK'D

I got a very nice surprise when I got home yesterday.

My TLC friend Shell does a RAK each month

and I was fortunate enough to be a

recipient of a little scrap surprise.

It's a really cool chipboard fan.

Thank you Shell, your such a sweetie
I am getting ready for a weekend scrap

with my mom and sister from Calif.

She flies in just for us to scrap for the weekend

we have so much fun. It's the first weekend in January

so I paid my balance today. i don't even care if I

get anything done. Not sure what I'm going to

work on, usually I am working on a book

for someone else. It's my turn to get caught up,

so I need to get my crap together.

Never enough time for that.
My mom and sister bought me a SCRAPRACK for my birthday

so mom is suppose to come and help me get that

organized before we leave. Hopefully it will get my

embellishment alittle more organized.

PTA meeting tonight, Sam is singing, can't miss that.

Looks like fast food for dinner.

Lots to do at work today, for a change. Off to earn my pay!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Don't forget to take those daily pictures

Day Six
Yeah I'm all caught up!!

Three more pages

Day Two Day Three
Day Four

Happy Holidays!

I have started my Christmas cards and hope to get them completed tonight while Sam is at choir practice.

Hopefully I will have time to work on my challenge album. It sure is hard to scrap each page differently on such small pages. Iwas trying to tell someone about the challenge last night. She must have thought I was nuts talking about my blogger friends. LOL

Thanks to my newest blogger friend Jolene for teaching me a few blogger tricks.

I am off Friday to shop shop shop hope to finish up. Yeah!! then I will be busy wrapping. I know one thing I am buying myself some pants with my birthday money, I have absolutely nothing to wear anymore, it's amazing what 10 pounds will do for the fitting of my pants!

I love everyones pages so far. There all so different. I think December was a good month to pick, because there is so much to photograph. Not sure if Shell is still talking to me, I can hear her now, how the bloody ell am I suppose to get all my s%#@ done and take a picture every friken day!!! I sure am glad I am not going to convention this year, she would totally kick my butt.

{{hugs}} Luv ya Shell dont mean to pick on ya {{hugs}}

HERE'S MY FIRST PAGE

My First Page Yeah!!

It's December 4th -Have you taken your picture today?

Well, it's Monday again. I got lots done this weekend.
Sent off some e-bay stuff, posted some more stuff.
The tree is up, I have at least 10 people on my list done.
Some of my packages will be mailed off today, and I had to buy EEEKK don't tell anyone most of my christmas cards. At least some of my anxiety over the holidays is getting better.

As far as my challenge goes............
I have been taking my pictures, it's really hard to remember some days
I am almost finished scrappin my first day
I have taken my pictures and written in my journal, which ones for which days, I kinda wanted to scrap them as I went along, so that I would not get behind.
Wish I was more comfortable with my digi scrappin, because I would have definetly done it that way.

I need you all to teach me how to put in a persons blog like Jolene did mine in the middle of a sentence and insert a picture in the middle of my blog and type under it. Help Me I'm blogger challenged. Something is wrong with it today, becasue I can't spell check add pictures or anything. Oh well

Looks like another crazzy busy week for me, Bring on the Holidays I am Ready-well almost!!

Happy Friday

The weather has been freaky today, it's almost 80 degrees today (norm. temp this time of year 45) Now it is raining terrible, what a crappy afternoon. Mark has a hair appt. at 4 today. After that I'll have plenty to do until around 10.

Tomorrow he leaves to go to state robotics competition at Va tech, he is so excited, they are staying overnight and will get home late on Sunday. Sam and I are in the parade downtown tomorrow, we will be on the Awana float. Then I think the 3 of us are going shopping and to visit Santa. I am so glad we still have one that Believes. She doesn't know what she wants for Christmas, when we ask her she says, what ever you want to get me is fine.

Mark on the other hand is full of suggestions. Once they get a certain age all there toys get really expensive. We haven't decided on which one to get.

I really want to get him a puppy. We have never really had a family dog. I had a dog before they were born, but she died when mark was around 3 and she was scared to death of him then and would not have much to do with him. Mitch is not too keen on the idea, but I may try to change his mind. I would love to have a dog, but really don't want one in the house, still trying to pretend it's new this month we have been her 4 years.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Don't forget to take your picture a day. Wish me luck on the Christmas shopping and decorating. I would love to at least get my decorating done.

Have a Great One!!
