Back to Work

Tomorrow I go back to work, I must say I have enjoyed being home. I am still not walking 100% shoot I am not even walking 50%, but I must go back. I get my stitches out Tuesday.

Went up and saw Jack today, they moved him to a room yesterday, he has had tons of visitors and tons of phone calls. He is doing really well considering, but has a long road to go. Not sure how much longer he will be in the hospital. Because of the urgency of his condition he had his surgery at Southampton. Dr. Lovelady did his surgery and seems to be a pretty decent doctor so at least he is close by and not in Norfolk which is an hour away.

Anyway, hope everyone has a Great Monday I will be at work trying not to fall asleep.

Project

Samantha had to do a project for Social Studies on Ancient Greece 3rd Grade is a little young for that but none the less we got it done last week and she is presenting it today. She was very happy with the results we talked about it and how she wanted it and then she added her only little touches. There is no doubt an adult did not do this project, well I helped a little.

Foot Update

I went to the foot doc today, he took off all the bandages(see below) and wants me to start putting weight on it, but I tell ya it is scary and my heal is still so numb. It's going to be a slow process. I will be out of work another week, so I practice putting weight on it. I have to go back in 2 weeks so he can take out the stitches.

Also we are taking Mark to a specialist tomorrow, he has been experiencing alot of back pain and the doctor say that he has scoliosis, so we are taking him to find out the extent of it all.

I made a change in my scrapping, instead of scrapping in order I scrap what ever I want when the mood strikes me, I enjoy it so much more and eventually everything gets done, just not in order. I cannot even start to explain how much fun I had with my sister yesterday, we have not done crafts together in a long time, well yesterday we had decided to make cards for the troops and Me Mom and Carol managed to make 60 cards between the three of us! Of course I did nothing and Carol and Mom were wonderful and handled everything for me. Lets just say...

Birthday Surprise!

Well, most of you know my 44th Birthday was yesterday, I had a nice day and spent time with my family, Thank you for all the well wishes!

I received this in the mail today from my friend Shell and I must tell you I am not sure if I am more surprised or excited, I have wanted one of these, but thought it to be an indulgence. I didn't think I would ever say this but TLC has blessed me with some of the most wonderful people and very dear to my heart friends. I wish I could give you all a Great Big {{HUG}}

Thank you my Friend I will think of you every time I use it!

The Wedding

The wedding was Beautiful and Everything went perfect. Deb was so glad it was over. I only managed to get one picture, due to my condition and no one was willing to be my photographer. So my MIL took this picture of Deb and I. And one of the bride and grooms first dance. They are off to Hawaii on there honeymoon.

Samantha has informed me that when she gets married her wedding gown will be pink and that she is marring my husband. awwwhh!

This Cutie Patootie is getting married today, she is the daughter of one of my best friends Deb. I m going to attempt to attend the wedding and hopefully the reception. Hope everyone has something just as happy to do today! Happy Saturday!

Day 10

Today has been 10 days since my surgery and I can safely say that I am tired of this not being able to walk mess. Everyone has to take care of my kids and there extra stuff it's driving me nuts.

I have had so much food brought over that the only sure things are my right like is going to be as big as a pencil and the rest of me will have gained 50 pounds eating all this great food. My arms will surely be buff though caring all that weight around.

I thought I would share with you the apparatus that gets me around my house thanks to my MIL. This thing has been a blessing.

That's all for now, I think I am having a scrapbooking get together next Saturday which is the 15th. I will be sending out an e-mail. It will be free, at the Bronco Club from 9-4. We will be bringing our own food and making cards for the troops.

Look what i got today, last week I entered a Memory Makers Contest and I won a Spellbound collection from them. A nice surprise to an otherwise boring day at home alone. I may do a little scrapbooking during my time at home.
Hey, the Washing machine repair man is coming tomorrow, something to look forward to! WOOHOO!

Update

So I went to the doc yesterday, he says I have been doing good keeping weight off of it and If I keep behaving I can start putting weight on it and go back to work on the 20th! That seems like a long time. He also took off the brace so my foot weighs about 5 pounds less and all I have on is a dressing I wish I had gotten a picture of my stitches before he wrapped it back up, but here is what it looks like now.
Here are a few other things I have been doing since laying around being waited on by my mom. Mitch needed a sample for his display at the store so I have 2 completed and one more to go.

I have to mention how phenomenal this woman is, she has done and done and done for me. I am going to have to think of something good to repay here. I wonder how she feels about gingerbread! LOL

OK, So it has only been 6 days and I am not liking this situation at all. So many people have brought me dinner, this nice friend even brought me steaks and even cooked them for me.

up I don't like sitting around, I don't like not being able to do anything for my family. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday. I tried to do a little more than I should have the other day and my foot swelled so I have to be careful what I do.

I have been working on gingerbread houses for Mitch to have for display at the store and of course Obama and McCain have been keeping me busy calling me 10 times a day -I kid you not. Thank Goodness that madness is over tomorrow.
