Project 365

So I have decided what I would work on in March at the SDV. Yes, it takes me that long to get my crap together. I have so far printed 83 pictures. Then I will sort them by months and start getting some of the papers I may use, although I do change my mind often and requires shopping for just the right embellishment. I want to do a Year in Review album. Now that I am not scrapping in chronological order I find it to be so much more productive and enjoyable.This album will include all my favorite photos throughout the year. I also plan on journaling alot, since this year has been a doosey and requires explanation. I have been very blessed, but at times it seems as though God has overwhelmed me way beyond my prayer powers. I still have one day left so we will see how it all ends! LOL!

So I know you knew this post was coming and I will keep talking about it until the day is here and then long after it is over. Yes, my friends I am talking about the SDV (scrappers dream vacation)Q: What exactly is a Scrapper's Dream Vacation (SDV)?

The Day After

We all day a nice relaxing day today, got up had a little piece and quiet for a while then made breakfast got dressed went to town, got some lunch and then Sam and I spent our gift cards, we got a few good deals. Now we are just relaxing, leftovers for dinner. I love having the day after Christmas off, it gives you a chance to enjoy everything a little longer. I hope everyone had a Fantastic Holiday with family and friends.

Great Weekend

I had a great weekend and thought I would share my activities.

Friday: Got all my shopping done/mostly wrapped

Saturday: Slept late 7 am-Ate an early dinner at Lone Star Steak House. Then we went to the Imax theater to see The day the earth stood still, it was OK, not spectacular by any means. Made these cute Gift Card Holders and few more Christmas Cards for Mitch's people at work.

Sunday: Slept in again, someone told me yesterday was the first day of Winter and it stayed dark outside, enough to keep my (dawn to dusk) lights on until almost 9 am. Then Sam and I went off to get a Mani-Pedi It was wonderful then a nice lunch, to the grocery store and out to see Jack.
Luckily mom gave me a couple baked chicken dinners someone had brought (Jack can't have anything spicy) Then we came home and iced 24 mini cupcakes and off to Awana.

Shew! It sounds tiring and explains why I was in bed at 9 last night. So here we are in Christmas Week. The kids are so excited for Santa and everyone is getting ready for Family time. I hope everyone has a Great week.

New Friends**Update

UPDATE: Mason Daniel Vann: Little Mason made his grand entrance earlier this morning at 3:26. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 12.5 ounces and is 19 1/4 inches long.. All the Vann's are doing well. (from Tina's Blog)

I must admit I was very nervous about meeting my new friends Mandy and Charlie, but once I entered the room they all made me feel so comfortable we talked for an hour! What a nice group of people. I went to see New Baby Mason, but he has not arrived yet, Mandy and Charlie were all smiles and just as cute and sweet as they look on Mandy's blog. I whipped out my camera and Charlie commenced to a photo shoot! LOL I loved it, I had Mrs Pinky take a picture of me and my new friend. Thank you again for making me feel well, a part of the family!Thanks again for making me feel so comfortable and my prayers and Best Wishes are with you and all your family anxiously awaiting Baby Mason.

Shopping

Tomorrow Mitch and I are off work and going to do our final Christmas shopping.

Only have a few things to get and then it's wrapping wrapping wrapping.

Also need to get my box off to California!

Christmas Treats

These are snacks for Sam's class party tomorrow. They are a version of portable SMORE's. You simple add Graham cracker flavored O's (found at Food Lion) mini marshmallow and chocolate chips and Viola instant Yummy Goodness. I tried to find cute little snack bags, but I don't think the kids will care.

Hi All,

Not much going on. Mom called last night and said Jack may be coming home today, not sure yet, but it's looking hopeful. He is only in skill care at the hospital and will continue to get that at home for a while. So keep your fingers crossed! Mom really needs a break from running back and fourth

Finished up my Christmas cards so they will go in the mail today, I have a ton of gifts to wrap. Amanda Sue called and said my other gifts are ready so except for a few things I am done shopping and ready for Christmas!

Hi All,

Jack is doing better and better. A few more days to get his strength back and maybe he will be home next week.

My visit to the gyn was a good one. He is taking me off Seasonique, he says that is the worst birth control they have ever made. I was on it to shrink my cyst. So I will be off that for a month and when I go back he will do a ultra sound to check on the cyst and go from there. He does not think I should have a hysterectomy he sees no need for it.

I got a few more things bought for Christmas, so I am knocking them out slowly. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Review

Samantha is center front bottom holder

Hi everyone, sorry I have been MIA, I have had so much going on. So here is my recap.
Sunday we had another cheer competition the girls did great again and brought home a second place trophy. Then it was off to Awana Sunday night.Jack has been doing better and better everyday, he has all the tubes and crap out so now he just has oxygen and they have been giving him some blood. Tonight for dinner he had Cream of celery soup, jello, ice cream and his favorite Ice Tea. So he is looking better and better. We still need lots of prayers and poor mom she is so worn out. I don't even know what to do to make her feel better. I love her so much and I just want to make everything OK.

Mark had his MRI last night, we did not get home till 10:45 almost 2 hours he was in the loud machine, I sat right there with him. He did so Great only had to have one break. I was very impressed by his patients. We go to the doctor for the results on Friday so prayers for that too.

I am going to another GYN for a second opinion for my problems tomorrow and then hope to get some shopping done. Rose and I are shopping for a little girl at church who's family is having a really hard time right now.

We finally got our tree up on Saturday before the competition so at least that is done.

We go home at 10:30 pm and we hve to be at Christopher Newport at 9 am, they may have to wait on us LOL

First Christmas Cards

I got my first Christmas Cards today!

I also bought a new Christmas tree at Lowe's 1/2 Price! All there Christmas stuff is 50% off
Mine had a string of lights out and several of my limbs had broke so the boss (that's Mitch) HA HA said I could get a new one. As soon as I get it up I will post pictures. I have not gotten any Christmas decorations up and the person I have the most difficulty buying for (the boss) I have completely done, but other than that I haven't
bought a thing. I am way behind, I have gotten some cards done and a few homemade gifts.
The only gift I need is Jack home for Christmas!

Is it Wednesday already!

Sorry I haven't posted, it's been a crazy week already. Monday was my first day back at work and that went really well, my foot was not swollen much by the time I got home. Then came Tuesday and I was to get my stitches out at 9:30. Dr Bland said it looked good and to just keep working it and putting as much weight as possible on it.(I am still hobbling alot) but I am trying.

Before I left for my appointment momma called to say they were going to do surgery on jack at 10:30, so as soon as I was done I headed up to SMH and we sat until 12. They had to go back into Jacks original incision, it seems as thought the colon resection had come loose (I think by the violent throwing up he had done on Monday) so they repaired that, stitched him back up and two hours later we were all Thanking God for another miracle. We have decided that Jack must be part feline and that he must have 9 lives.... I believe he is on Life 4. Thanks to all of you for the Prayers for Jack. He is ICU for a little while and then back to a regular room and hopefully home before Christmas!
