EPIPHANY.................

Epiphany (feeling), the sudden realization or comprehension of the essence or meaning of something

All this talk about photo freedom and try as I might to win a free copy of Stacy's book, just for the simple fact that I am cheap and don't want to purchase of copy of a book that has not been released yet.

With that said, while trying to go through the digi's on my computer this weekend trying to search out just the right photos to use for a last minute project, which when complete I did not take a picture of to share *(note to self: photograph all project from now on, no matter how ugly they might be)

Anyway, you would think with two printers in the house that finding a few pictures would be a breeze...............nope both printers ran out of one kind of ink or another. Good Grief! so I made due with the photos I had, she loved it. I used one of Donna Downey's tag book really cute!

Anyway back to my Epiphany..... I have decided to print out all the photos I have stored on my computer, goodness only know how many that is, not to mention the ones I already have burned to CD's send them off *(I am in need of a good on line developer if anyone has any good suggestions)
put them in cheapo photo albums and start scrapping all the ones I have forgotten about and never had a chance to scrap.

I plan on having all this done and ready to scrap at SDV in March. (*trying not to laugh hysterically)

Make & Take for Saturday

OK, so I had to use Christmas candy,but here is my make and take for my crop on Saturday. It's a Treat Topper to give to the one you love.

So my sister and I decided to keep a journal this year of monthly highlights. I decided to use this one that my secret sister gave me at convention. I added the 08 and It's ready to go. Love It!

Look at what I got today from my sweet sister in California. It's a Inspiration piece with my word Listen on it and a tissue box that matches my room. Also a few cool magazines I cannot wait to look at. How did she know I needed a Valentine M & T for this weekend? These magazines will give me the inspiration I need.

I have introduced my sister to the Blog world, and I think I have unleashed a hidden talent!

In myself as well, she has inspired and excited me so much lately that I couldn't even sleep last night I woke up at 2 this morning. Anyway, I forgot that I made my listen inspiration. Here it is I wanted to do a canvas, but here in Franklin land we have nothing but a walmart. The closest Michaels is an hour away, so I improvised. Here it is........

Prayer Shawls

A while back I was looking to revive the older ladies in the church to be involved in The Women's Ministry group that I am the president of. Seems it was hard for some of the them to make the night meetings. So we all prayed and prayed about what to do.

Well, little did I know that my prayers would be answered all the way from California while my mom was visiting my sister. Judi gave mom a crochet/knitting book on Prayer Shawls.

The ladies took to it immediately and to date have made over 20 shawls and prayed over and given around 8. They meet once a week on Mondays from 10 -12 and they catch up on goings on of the church and the activities of Womens Ministry.

My Mother in law is in charge of the group of 10 or so women. The shawls are given to all sorts of people. Some in our church, in nursing homes nearby as well as different people throughout the community. What a blessing.

I guess I downloaded them correctly. I have a question for you digi divas. When you use lifetimez to make a page, and you put words on it like I did here do you have to just insert each letter separately

Ok, So I am home from work, because Sam is not feeling well. So I finally signed up at faith Sisters. I downloaded some freebies and viola in 15 minutes I created this using Krystal Hartley's FREE Wild tropic papers and sweet floral. I haven't mastered the whole digi download thing so I don't have any good fonts. But I Love It!!! I am going back for more, so look for more layouts today.

I don't know what it is about this lady, but i really liked her blog, she doesn't post much, is always on the go to exciting places!

So in her latest post she lists all the highlights from each month of the past year, I am loving this idea. I am going home tonight find a altered journal my SS gave me at convention and I am writing down places I go and things my family and I do over the next year. Then I might just do an album of highlighted events for the whole year ( I saw this somewhere, can't remember where)

Uniforms

A couple of weeks ago the company that I have worked for 22 years for has decided that office GIRLS can now wear EMC uniforms, (which might I add the MEN have been doing for years!!!) They are uniform pants Khaki or blue and company logo golf shirts.

So I said sure, I get tired of trying to decide what to wear every morning, knowing the only people that will see me are the two people I work with in the office and 30 men that work in the shop, oh and and maybe a customer, or Farmer that needs his crop dryer worked on. So tomorrow will be my official first uniform day.

WOO HOO no more trying to figure out what to wear, the best part the company pays for them!! I got a shirt in every color!! What color should I wear for my debut?

Well, as usual I am up before everyone else, and I felt like scrappin a little, not enough to make a mess so I did a little digi scrappin. Ali Edwards always does this thing where you pick a word and post it somewhere so it can be seen everyday and focus on this word and what it means to you. Sort a goal if you will, well I have decided on LISTEN.

I have a really hard time listening. So I am working on listening this year instead of always blabbering. I also need to listen to others and focus and concentrate on what others are saying instead of talking over top of people and not absorbing anything they say. I do it to everyone. I don't think I can help it, my mind never rests so it's constantly turning things over.

Anyway so I thought I would share that with ya'll. I am going to make something significant, some sort of altered item. Which was an inspiration from KKG.

So be on the look out for that. I had so much time this weekend to scrap and didn't feel like it (GASP) I know, But that clipboard of Krystal's was inspiring to me. I love those colors and they are close to my scrap room colors so look for something soon.

Sunday Afternoon

Well, It's Sunday afternoon we are home from church and have no Awana tonight. I must admit I am not disappointed about that.

We have been spoiled with having long weekends because of the holidays and I have only worked three days in a row over the last 3 weeks. So we are being lazy today, same as yesterday. I did get my inventory done yesterday. Trying to prep for taxes YUK!

I have a crop coming up on the 26th so I have that to look forward too. Next weekend we have a Cheer comp on Sunday and then Mitch and I are going out. Woo Hoo! The people he works with are getting together at a cool wine restaurant. Can't wait for that.

So tomorrow it is the start of a very long week. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Oh the picture is Samantha doing experiments in the kitchen this afternoon. Mark use to do this all the time when he was her age, just mix crazy stuff together and try to get me to drink it. I don't think so, but they have a good time doing it and then I cleaned up afterward. Oh well.
