A little less Wisdom

Mark is getting his Wisdom teeth out today
I have been awake and asleep off and on all night long, I hate that, now I will have to take a nap this afternoon. LOL Well, at least Sandy would be proud of me.

I was suppose to have a crop this coming Saturday but with so much going on in the Fall in Franklin almost everyone has plans so we have put it off for a while. I miss all my scrappin friends when I don't get to see them. Hopefully we will be able to get together soon.

Hope everyone has a Great Tuesday!

Guess where we went?

A REALLY SMOKEY BAR! LOL NOT REALLY!
On Wednesday Nights The Melting Pot has a "Girls Night Out" and the sometime they have demonstrators that go around sharing there whatever with you. My friend Sandy V was demoing Uppercase Living so we thought we would go. Well, we didn't have Sandy at our table when we ordered and that was a bad decision. We ordered the wrong Cheese the wrong cooking style it was a mess. We had a great time anyway and got lots of time to catch up on our visiting.
I had the Best time. Thanks Mom!!

Thanks Missy

Missy, You have made my day, you are the sweetest.

If you all remember on Friday Missy won the jewelry auction on Carol's site to raise money for The Mutt Strut. Well Carol showed up today with a gift for me!! Missy wanted me to have the necklace and earrings. How sweet is that? Thanks Again Missy, every time I wear it I will think of you! (and Griffin of course)

E-mail I had to share-Hope it makes you giggle!

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.
As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom!

When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.
The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its
strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist

'Miss Beatrice', he said, 'I wonder if you would tell me about this?' pointing to the bowl. 'Oh, yes,' she replied, 'Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the Park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground.

The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease.

Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter?'

Attach of the MEME

Gary has tagged me with a MEME it's a pretty short one so I will play along.

I actually adore movies.
  1. The movie you have watched the most?

Probably Terminator as long as we are not counting children's movies LOL

2. Name your favorite actors (male & female) and the movies you liked them best in.

Tom Hanks: Cast Away & Forrest Gump

Diane Keaton: Somethings gotta give & Because I said so

3. List your favorite 3 movies:

  1. Terminator
  2. 6 days and 7 nights
  3. Kangaroo Jack

4. What movie cartoon character is your favorite?

I feel a little old to have a favorite cartoon character, but if I have to say I guess it would be Bugs Bunny.

So now I must tag a few. Izzy, Michelle, & Missy

The Eyes Have it!

We picked up Mark's new glasses, poor thing couldn't see, but he can now and I think he looks Terrific!! I can't believe how much he has matured lately.
I was recently going through my scrap stuff looking for something and I was appalled at the amount of things I have accumulated and I vowed to Deb that I would not be purchasing another scrapbooking thing until March of course. LOL
It was embarrassing, I really need to organize it so I know what I have. My scrap rack will surely help with most of my stuff. My main problem is my random rub ons, letters, and chipboard. So if anyone has any suggestions on how to organize these two items, please please share with me. Especially the run-ons. Just remember that it has to be mobile at times, because that seems to be the only time I get to scrap. I love my ribbon holder that was the best gift (Thanks Judi) it is great and holds so many ribbons. I love it So if you have any suggestions please share them with me.

Help if you can

I received the e-mail below yesterday from a fellow TLC friend, these two ladies are very special and have done a phenominal job helping those that protect us all. I think that I may do a special crop just to make blank cards for the soldiers to help Kristie meet her goal. If there is anything you can do to help I am sure it would be appreciated. I am hoping they don't mind that I posted this info:
Dear Friends and Fellow Scrappers,

As you know there are a bunch of us that have been organizing "Scrapping For Soldiers" Crops to raise money to purchase phone cards for our deployed soldiers through SoldiersAngels.org .

Last week this fund raising effort took a new turn for me on a personal level. My 19-year-old son Matthew had joined the US Army National Guard in the spring of his Junior year of high school. This summer he petitioned the Guard for release to join the United States Army. His petition was granted and he was sent to Fort Bragg, NC to join the 82nd Airborne Division.

Thursday evening the dreaded news came - he is deploying to Iraq in Mid-November.

This has increased my determination to raise even more money to purchase those phone cards!! To date we have raised over $12,000 and it simply isn't enough.

So, I'm turning to you for help. Right now we have 3 crops scheduled for 9/27, 11/22 and 12/3. Soon we will be scheduling crops for the beginning of next year.

We are in need of donations for the croppers goody bags, door prizes and silent auction items. If you have any items that you have purchased but know you'll never use, items given to you that need to be "regifted" or items you simply don't care that much for... please send them to me!

OR if you are not in a position to make a donation at this time - how about making some cards? Our deployed soldiers are in need of blank greeting cards for all occasions that they can use to send to their families and friends back home.

Kristie Lippert has sent out a challenge to get 1,000 cards to send and we could all help! One card, a dozen, or a hundred - any effort is appreciated by our soldiers!

If you have a donation to make for our crops, please send it to me at:

If you have cards to add to the collection, please send them to:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help that you can give us. And please keep our Soldiers in your thoughts and prayers!
Julie

WOM Thank you dinner

As some of you know after 8 years as President of the Women's Ministry at our church, I decided to step down, so some of the girls from church took me out for a Thank You dinner, we had a great time, lots of laughs, no crying thank goodness. Our new pastors wife Denise will be taking over as presient. Thank you Denise and Good Luck, look out for frozen chickens they are everywhere! LOL!

If you know anything about the things we do in WOM it involves alot of Chicken! This rubber chicken made all kinds of noises, everyone signed it with a little funny saying. I will cherish it forever. I cracked up when I opened it, luckily we had a private room. We shared some of our favorite memories with each other.
This is one of the serious gifts they gave me it is a beautiful saying. I hope that I made a difference in the 8 years as president. Thank You ladies from the bottom of my heart.
We missed you mom!

Happy Friday!
