Memories Found

Sorry I haven't posted I tried to clean up my computer and made a mess of it instead.

As you all know I have been cleaning up around my house. I came across this box of I guess you could call them my treasures, so I thought I would share them with ya'll.

This is the only picture I have of my Mom and Dad together, I forgot I had it, so I quickly made several copies of it.
I also evidentially collected buttons in High School, man I had a ton of them, all hanging in my room
I ran track when I was in Jr. High. I believe this particular meet Carol and mom were both there, I ran in the rain and would not give up, I will never forget them hollering from the stands Run Wendy Run! They were so proud of me that they made me these metals!
I never came in first but they made sure I knew how proud they were of me.
I lettered in track-Go Rialto Warriors!

Clean up, Clean up

Where is Barney when you need him?

Mitch and I are home this week cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning, Yesterday we cleaned out the attic, and several closets, including our own. That yielded about 4 bags of trash, 10 empty boxes (why do we keep empty boxes when we buy something). And about 10 bags of clothes that I am taking to CHKD today. And some larger things that I took to my daughters day care, they are having a yard sale for The March of Dimes on Saturday. So if you are in the area of The Gingerbread House (it's across the street from Franklin High School) stop by and help a good cause.

This morning we are starting on the shed, which should take all day. Happy Tuesday!

Busch Gardens

We had a competition at Busch Garden yesterday. We won 1st place in our division. The Girls Rocked there routine. It was so hot, we all got burned, but we had a blast!!

Balloon Blast Throwdown!

During the year at AWANA the kids earn points for every three sections they pass they get one balloon, and at the end of the year we have what we call Balloon Blast Throw Down. The kids pick leaders that they want to throw there balloons at. It is such a fun time for us and the kids.

Crop Recap

We had a great time yesterday at the crop, we missed those you that did not make it. There were 12 of us! Mandy came, I was so glad to see her. I think he had a good time, she was very quiet. I loved having her and everyone else. The day flew by and it was 4 o'clock before we knew it. We had so much food we could have stayed and had diner. Thanks to everyone for making it a great day. I did take my camera, but of course the batteries were dead. Mandy took a few. Below are my accomplishments for the day. We are planning our next one on May 30th, I will let you know for sure soon.


I have had this Becky Higgins Kit of the Month Kit for over a year, and I had all my stuff organized to do it, but just hadn't gotten around to putting it together. It was for Sam so I didn't have much to do since she is only in 3rd grade. Yesterday at the crop I got it all done. It is kinda boring, but a task complete none the less. 9 more years to go!!



I also got a few cards made, I am so sorry about the pictures, I am a terrible photographer.

Tim Holtz

OMGosh I am in love with this Tim Holtz book. I just love his style. The hinges are grungeboard. If you don't know what that is it a flexible, inkable, paintable leather like material that is so cool, you can literally bend it and not hurt it at all. It's like flexible chipboard only better. I am very inspired by Tim, though he does way too many layering for my taste, his things always turn out gorgeous. His has tutorials on how to do all his styles. That's another thing I love, Tim does not make you pay to teach you an technique. He is teaching this class in Berkely, CA. for a mere $85.00!!! Good Grief. Where do I sign up!! LOLOLOLOLOL

Work Related

Hi All,

I am getting tired of the same old post from myself, so I thought I would go off subject a little bit and talk about something funny that just happened.

The lady I work with is on vacation this week so I have been answering the phone every time it rings {it has been right quiet this week-spring break and all}

So it {{rings}} This is how i answer the phone every time it rings "Good afternoon or morning Electric Motors this is Wendy.

The man on the other end says "Do you take Dogs?" i try with all my might not to crack up. I say I am sorry sir I believe you meant to call La Quinta. (There 800 number is one digit off from ours)
He says: Well what number did I call. So I tell him, and the man seems confused. He says OK Thank You. HELLO---I said Electric Motors not LA Quinta!

This happens all the time, I guess they don't listen when I answer because they will say all kinds of crazy mess. They want to make reservations, or they want to find out if i have something they have left in there room.

Just thought I'd share, anyone else get crazy calls?

Sunrise Service

We attended sunrise service Sunday morning at 7 am and then the men of the church prepared a fantastic breakfast, even though we heard the smoke alarm go off during the service Ha! everything was fine. This is me & my MIL Rose at breakfast. Samantha didn't let me get a good picture of her Easter dress, so I had to settle for she and Mitch at breakfast. You take what you can get people. Something is not acting right at home, I think it is my satellite, so that is why I am behind on posting. Hope everyone had a Wonderful Easter.

Coloring Eggs

We had a ball game this morning at 11. We won 19 to 11. We are on a winning streak of 3-0.
When we got home we colored eggs. Mark colored a few, but refused to get his picture taken so here are Sam's.
They also helped me make potato salad and deviled eggs, I love when the kids help me in the kitchen, hopefully they will retain a little for later on in life.HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

We had Josh's send off party on Saturday, he is leaving for Marine boot camp on the 12th. It was very nice even though the wind was blowing making it a little chilly. And he cut his hair so you can see his cute little face. I have only well wishes for Josh, I hope that he makes it through the rough period.
