Running as Usual

As you know we had Samantha's birthday party last Saturday and i have not had time to post picture, so I thought i would sneak a few in to share. They all had a great time, and boy was it hot, i believe the temp rose to 101. Great day for a pool party. I will post Father's Day pictures soon.

Wordless Wednesday

Not her real birth date

So today we are having Sam's birthday party, her real date of birth is the 26th, but with All Star Games VBS we settled for today. Anyway so it is sure to be a crazy day and guess what else? I invited my dad to come he said yes he arrived yesterday, he looks great and we talked and talked yesterday, a very nice visit. This is the 3rd time he has been to my house. and it's father's Day this weekend. Yeah !

So today 15 screaming girls for a pool party. Wish me Luck!

Behind the Wheel

Mark started behind the wheel yesterday and will be taking direction from someone he can not holler at when she tells him to stop or slow down or turn here. I would love to be in that car. I know he will do great, he is so excited about driving on his own.
We will be giving him our 2007 Toyota Corolla to drive, I hope he appreciates the car and is careful.

I need some mom advice on rules for when he leaves for the first time by himself. I know no texting or talking on his cell while driving, anything else?

I said I wasn't gonna do it!

But, I couldn't help it, I think every little girl should have earrings. Mind you it's not that I was waiting oh no, I want you all to know that this is the 3rd, yes I said 3rd time she has had her ears pierced. The first two times she freaked out so bad trying to change and clean them that we let them heal up, but being the responsible(cough cough) young lady of almost 9, i am hoping she will do better this time. Just another day in the life of being the mother of a princess! Happy Wednesday!

A picture is worth a thousand words........

This was the most exciting game, I literally peed my pants screaming, jumping up and down and of course ringing my cow bell. The girls came in 2nd to the Pink Ponies from Windsor and it was the most exciting intense game I have ever had with Holland. So Much fun! All Stars at the end of the month should prove to be just as exciting!

Yeah Mark!!!

Mark finished his drivers ed exam today and will start behind the wheel next week.
Look out people of Franklin! I am very proud of Mark he really worked hard and made good grades.
Last day of school tomorrow!!!!

Weekend Update

• Recycling is in full swing with the new bin. Sometime the recycle police(Mark) catches me throwing away item that should go in the bin (I am still learning what is and what isn't)


• Saturday we helped the youth raise over $500.00 dollars at Applebees with the fundraiser breakfast. Yum Yum then we were off to play a double header in Holland, won the first game lost the second. We play again on Tuesday @ 6.


• We had our Cheer banquet on Sunday from 1-5 which we headed to after church. Everyone had a great time. then off to the church picnic which started at 4. I played a lot of new games I had never played. Hillbilly golf, kinda fun a little boring, and washer horseshoes which I loved. All in all a good time was had by all.


• We were home by 7 and ready for bed!!

We had a nice very busy weekend! Is your head spinning mine usually is!!!

The kids are on there last week of school and are so excited!

Quick Creation

Yesterday I got my Missy Made it flowers that I bought on ebay and could not wait to whip up a card, who says Dad's can't have flowers?Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Pancake Breakfast

The youth of our church are having a pancake fundraiser breakfast at Applebee's in Franklin tomorrow morning starting at 8 am. I believe it is 3 pancakes and sausage for only $5. Stop by and help them out if you are in the area! The money raised is to help off set some of the cost for camp.

Gifts

Here are a few gifts I made last weekend. The note cubes are for Sam's teachers and the slider is for her cheer coach. The cubes are made from Close to My Heart notebook cubes. I took one and split it in half. The are stamped on the sides and every so often I stamped an image on the sheets. And of course a Big Heidi Swapp '"Thanks" stamp on top.


This is called a slider card. I bought the templates from a company called Pinecone Press. It is really cool and can be used for a million different things. When you pull the ribbon side both sides slide out and on this particular one I attached a gift card on one side, you could also put a picture on one side.

Not much going on this week, Samantha had her first tournament game last night and they won, so we will be playing again on Friday.

Luckily all the games are in Holland. Other than that we have been getting ready for the last day of school, Samantha's birthday party and Mark starting behind the wheel the week after school is out. Then he will be working for his grandma J all summer long! (hey you gotta pay for gas some how)

VBS starts after that, seems like our month is full of activities, one right after the other.

I made some really cute stuff for Samantha's teachers last Friday and hope to get it posted soon. Hope every one's week is going as well as mine.
