HA HA! It really has only been 2 days, but man am I ready to go home. We can only go in every 2 hours for 20 minutes, so we walk back and forth from the hotel to the hospital, they are across the street and quick walk. Nevertheless, it is very tiring. Dad is still doing great, the therapist has been in twice a day to train him to swallow and they say he can go home as soon as he masters the swallowing.
It's funny if you think about it, who thinks about how they swallow, but the flap that covers his wind pipe is gone, so food can easily go down his wind pipe and
choke him, he can hardly swallow water at this point. Hopefully we can go home tomorrow.

I know how hard it is to watch the people you love suffer and go through so much. I hope it all works out and things can get back to normal for everyone. Prayers from NC!
