a little Shaken

I was met tonight by my across the street neighbor telling me that his house was robbed this morning. Mitch was not home so he was kind enough to come to house with me to check things out. Everything was fine.

It seems as though his wife had been sick at home and left at 9:30am to go to the doctor and when she got home around 12, stuff was everywhere. Mitch was home during the time of the robbery, but we cannot see the front of there house .

They mostly stole jewelry and her lack of being comfortable in her own home. They broke down her front door (It faces the street) and ransacked the house. They didn't take anything large, but broke they door down, making it impossible to even hang back up. How scary! Another thing for me to be Thankful for. Maybe my ferocious dogs kept them away! LOL

Anyway, hope everyone had a better Tuesday than my neighbors!

OMG...I am glad no one was there and got hurt. I hate it for them though. I would be scared to death now...take precautions!

Glad that no one was hurt during the robbery. Perhaps the dogs did deter them from ransacking your home.

Wow, that is scary! We had a bunch of break-ins in our neighborhood this summer and I think our dog had a lot to do with us not getting broken into. Jewelry is one thing that you can replace, but peace of mind, that's another story.

Wendy ... that's so scary. I'm glad your neighbor was there to let you know and to walk into your house with you. I hope they catch who did it.

I am almost certain your dogs kept them away from your place. Burglars, don't want to confront dogs, they just want to get in, grab and get out----they obviously had to have seen her leave and determined nobody was home, and if the front door is not visible my neighbors, they got all the time they need. Glad your okay, and glad nobody got hurt.

OMG....what a scary thing......are you okay?

My husband, step-son & I got robbed before Corey was born and I'll tell ya...it took me along time to feel ok in my home again.....it didn't help matters that we lived so far out in the country then.......I'm glad we've moved now.....still in the country but we have neighbors.....

Please be careful (and keep the dogs)
