Let the Games Begin.............

We had our first game on Saturday and lost to SYAA didn't get the final score.  Last night we beat another SYAA team 10-9 it was such an exciting game.  Sam even got to pitch last night.  She loves it!

Jamestown Fieldtrip

It rained and rained and rained!

But the girls managed to have fun!

Girls Road Trip

Me, Mom, Carol & Judi last Monday after the redneck crop went on a road trip to Wrightsville Beach and visited some family from the fine young man my niece is marrying in July.   I cannot wait!

We stayed in this beautiful house beachside

It was really really really windy and right cold, so it 

was hard to get decent pictures, but Mary was sweet enough to snap this one,

We had a really nice time and Mary and Ellwood were perfect hosts!

Deb and I did good we stayed in the pop up on Friday, really warm and not afraid, then someone decided to trump up some crazy bear story thinking they were scaring me, well I sure did think they had spotted a bear and it took me all day long to realize they were just messin with me.  None the less Deb had to leave on saturday so I found myself in the redneck bedroom (seen Below)

but not because I was afraid!  I stayed up until 4am finishing Paisley's book, but I was so happy I could finish it for her.  I really loved doing it!

Awana Grand Prix

We had our  2nd Annual Awana Grand Prix today and Boy did we have fun, everything went perfect and the kids had a Ball.

  We had about 20 participants and Samantha won 1st place in her group.

SHS Culinary Competition

Mark has really enjoyed taking culinary arts at school and recently traveled to Richmond to participate in a State wide competition.  The Mangement team placed 2nd.  and the cooking team shown here had to complete a 3 course meal in 60 minutes using only 2 burners.  They didn't place, but seems to have a great time.  Mark was the alternate for the team.  He is the on the right, back row.  Don't he look cute with his hat on?!

I don't get to post much about Mark, so I thought I would share this with all of you.

Jamestown Project

We were planning on doing a ship for our project, but plans got changed and I was already putting it together so i jut had to finish it.  The body of the ship was like a puzzle kinda fun, the strung up sails another story.  It took me twice as long to do the sails as it did the boat.  Thought I'd share what I've been up to.  Now it is on to the next project Grand Prix for Awana on Saturday!  Pictures to come. I was bored at working hard today, but took a minute to do a little blog hopping.
My niece had sent me a message on facebook saying she wanted to do something different for her birthday and i was the creative one, should i think of anything let her know.
