National Coffee Day!

          The origin of National Coffee Day is unclear and Hallmark has yet to fully capitalize from it, so we can deduce that coffee addicts themselves may be the only ones who celebrate said day!

He is so Happy to be home.  We sat outside for quite a while, just enjoying the beauty of the yard.  He is doing great, They sent him home with this walker that you see in the picture, pretty cool, and he can get around pretty easy, he tends to rush, so we have to slow him down.

He will be starting therapy Friday and will continue to get therapy 3 times a week for 4 weeks.  That makes me feel good, because I feel like they only think he can get better and better the more therapy he gets.  I am also going to to take my wii over , just for something different and fun to do.

Well Happy Wednesday and keep up the prayers, especially for mom.  God love her, i truly think she is a saint disguised as a Mom and Wife!

Jack Update

Well, he is getting better and better and is so ready to come home.  He will be coming home on Tuesday!  Mom is hanging in there, but it's alot on her driving back and fourth every day.  She is hanging tough.

He is slowly getting around on a 4 prong cane and has some use of his right hand.  Still slow, but hopefully will continue with therapy when he gets home.  Like I told mom we need to take it one day at a time.  Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!  I will keep you updated as he progresses.

Jack Update 09/02/2010

As you may have noticed I had to remove the Jack will be home ticker.  They want to keep him an extra week so he can receive as much therapy as possible.  So the new date is Sept. 14th.  He has improved so much, just since he has been there.  He is not happy about it, but the reality is  that the longer he stays the stronger he will get.

I went to visit with him last night and found him to be in good spirits, I have never seen one person with so many friends.  He gets lots of company so that makes the day go by much faster.  We will never be able to Thank all of his friends for the visits and uplifting they provide.  I guess you reap what you sew.  We should all be so lucky to have so many people that care about us.

He is progressing really well, he is able to lift his leg and his hand and wiggle most of his fingers.  Also his speech is really improving.   My prayers are that he will get better and better and be back home soon. 

Mom is holding up, but just exhausted everyday by the time she makes it home.  Carol and I do what we can, it is our job to make sure mom is taking care of herself.  She is a such a rock. 
Please keep praying that Jack will get better and better, we don't know what the days ahead hold for him, but our thoughts are positive....
