Jack Update

Well, we are in day 6.  They moved him to Maryview rehab center yesterday and we got him all settled there for what he is claiming 2 weeks!!  So that is his goal to be home by September 7th! 

He is progressing and was able to lift his arm with lots of work up to his stomach. He will have therapy 2 times a day 1.5 hours each time.  His determination is strong, so that is a plus.  Please keep him in your prayers.  Mom is holding up and is doing good.  Her 71st  Birthday was yesterday and boy I hope I look that good and am that strong in 25 years!!

Prayers Please

     Well, since my last post everything has changed.  That's how life is I guess, fine one minute and turmoil the next. 
     Sometime Thursday night my stepfather Jack had a stroke, it did not become evident until Friday.  Long story short he has had a stroke and is in the hospital.  He has started therapy as he has lost mobility of his right side.  Not to mention getting the correct medication to get rid of the occlusion of his right vertebral artery.  In other words he has complete blockage of the right artery in his neck.  After his meds are regulated and the blood thinner has done it's job he will be going to a rehab facility for a couple of weeks.

     Please be in prayer for Jackie and my mom.  It is going to be a long rough road for them both.

All Day Crop

Hi Everyone

As we get closer to end of summer I realize that we have not gotten together to scrap since March.
Wow how time flies!

Mom and I have decided that it is about time, so we will be having a crop at the Bronco Club on August 21st. from 9 to whenever we get tired of talking, laughing and maybe getting something accomplished! It will be bring a dish to share and drink of choice. And the best part is that it is FREE and we get to all see each other again!

I am compiling a list so If you can make it let me know. Feel free to bring friends we have plenty of room.

A Great Vacation!

I think things have finally settled down and I have gotten some crap about my lack of posting.  We had such a great trip and did so much, but I was kind of slack on my picture taking.  It's hard to relax and get all the photos you want at the same time. 
We arrived on Tuesday and the relaxation began the Burton's are the Best hosts.  They made sure we had everything we needed.  The first day we relaxed by the pool.  We could not have asked for better weather.  While VA. had record highs we were relaxing and enjoying very mild warm weather. On Wednesday we all went to Dave and Busters and had a great time, playing games eating and laughing.  No pictures sorry.

Thursday we relaxed again and Friday we were off to the water park. 


Then my friends Mitzi came by for a visit with her daughter.  We had a fire by the pool and enjoyed each others company.  The kids had a great time getting to know each other.

Saturday morning we headed to Fallbrook for the Wedding.  I cannot even describe how incredible this wedding was.  All the details were perfect.  I did not get very many or very good pictures at the wedding it was because I was having such a great time.  Judi worked very hard on making this the perfect wedding for her daughter and she was very successful. 

We were even lucky enough to have Josh with us.  And some old family friend.    Even Judi got a chance to Boogie.  Will share more in the next post.
