But, It sure felt like it, A few of you have e-mailed to check on me after hearing what went on in my community last night. All of my friends and family are safe, a lot of home destruction, and some hurt, but no deaths.

It actually jumped over the hospital 1/4 mile from one of the destroyed buildings. God is good. Please keep all the families who lost there homes and businesses in your prayers.

BEEEutiful Day

I had an All Day Crop today. I not only got scrap with 8 of the most wonderful women, but we also got a lesson in BEE keeping. When we got to the church this morning, someone came by to tell us about the swarm of Bees that had made there home on a tombstone in our cemetery, not far from where we were all parked. Why this individual hadn't already taken care of it is beyond me, so I called animal control and they dispatched a Bee Keeper over. What a character he was, his name was Steve. He gave us all a lesson on bees. He was hilarious, and of course OLF had to help him put his garb , then he just walked over and brushed them off the marker into 5 gallon buckets and off he went.

Needless to say it was a very exciting crop. We ate pizza laughed and got a few more memories documented. You could say a good time was had by all.....................

Chicken-Chicken & More Chicken

Sorry about the picture quality, Mark took this with his cell phone as I forgot my camera.

The story is my church has a fried chicken dinner every year, this year we are selling 600 plates, keep in mind my church has a regular attendance of about 75 on sunday.

So I get this fantastic deal on chicken breasts (.88 cents a pound) so mom says, I will clean it and bag it for you after you get it. OK I say

I picked it up yesterday all 34 cases of chicken GOOD GRIEF!!

Mark was such a big help, believe it or not he cleaned almost as much as we did. And special thanks to Jack for being the runner and for getting us finished up by 10.

Needless to say we were exhausted!! There were lots of laughs(always with mom around)

Hi All,

My wonderful animal loving sister is going to be doing what is called a Mutt Strut for the Human Society. I have put in a easy to use donation tag to the right.

Sunday Morning

Well, it's 8 am Sunday morning I have been up for about an hour and I want to scrap today really bad, I have been checking out Tim Holtz blog he is the magician that has the grunge board that I used at SDV. He does alot of layering and dramatic distressing a little too much for me, but I really like his style. Here are the grungeboard elements that I used on some of my layouts all from the harlequin collection of Tim Holtz Grunge board.*(this stuff feels really cool)The collection even has shapes, like I have shown here and Swirlies and I am into some swirlies lately. It is worth the $19.99

This one I had a hard time with, I probably should have painted it a different color. I first painted it with a red dauber I don't know who came up with those, but I am loving them too. Then I inked the edges to give it some depth. The white areas are where the paint and ink didn't stick. I liked it!! LOL


These two were done much the same way as the giant W. That is what else is great about the set because the sizes range from 2 in to 6 inch letter on one sheet with up to 9 of the same letter. So you get the whole alphabet, plus shapes and swirles.

No Tim Holtz did not pay for this blog post, I just wanted to share something new that I love. LOL

A few shots from today. The girls did great today, came in 3rd out of three teams, I wish they had done better yesterday, I feel like they would have at least gotten 2nd place. They are performing at Greenbrier Mall next Saturday for any of you nearby, we would love for you to come watch. It's from 12-2.

Another busy busy week next week.

We had part 1 of a 2 part competition today at ODU. The girls did OK, They had just learned a new routine, so there where some glitches. Day 2 tomorrow. 9 am. I am still tired from last weekend, and have waaay to much on my mind.

To all of you who are dealing with the TLC issues, hang in there. I am just so glad that we are all blogging, it's such a wonderful way to keep up with one another.

New Blogger Alert!

These are two more crazies from this weekend. Michelle (on the left) has been to an SDV before, but Shelley the one on the right had never been, and the punk won a door prize. BOY did we break her in right. Olf got hold of her and they became fast friends (if sarcasm is a form of friendship) Then they became best buds!!! Any way Shelley is now Blogging YEAH!!!! Shelley.

Amazing Weekend

This weekend was such a blast, I am sure you already figured that out from all the posts. LOL

I learned alot about my scrapbooking abilities and how much reading Stacy Julian's Photo Freedom changed my way of scrapbooking. Amanda and I were sitting next to each other and I remember her watching me do a page and asking me how did you know how to do that?
There are no words to explain except to say that I just got it. You know how when you just get something? ell, I got it and it feels great. I scrapped every picture that I brought and loved almost every layout I created.

I will share more of my layouts soon, my scrap stuff is still at my mom's, but I will share this, that I made yesterday out of a counter top tile sample (I think it was Jan that had used some at convention). I thought I could put it on a necklace to wear.
We also got a few new people blogging so check them out and leave them some love.

Judi and I talked about blogging all weekend and how much we love it and how much we enjoy keeping up with all our internet buds. Hope we didn't bore you with all the crazy photos.
